DIABETIC PATIENTS ALWAYS READ THE LABEL......

   Now, a days; a lot of the food items we eat comes as a Pre-packaged. We are just only by reading the packet labels does one find out the nutritional value of the food items. Diabetic patient need to be much more aware of what they are eating as compared to normal person. So,it is best to avoid processed and packaged food items.

FEW THINGS YOU SHOULD NOTICE 

  1. CARBOHYDRATES: its the body's prime source of energy  but excess carbohydrates get stored in the body as fat. so, it is important the limit your carbohydrate intake.                              
  2. FATS :Diabetic patient ,the fat intake must be limited to the minimal amount required by the body. Packeged food items mention cholesterol,trans fat and saturated fat content on the label.If all three items ingredient are lower amount,then it is healtheir food items.We always try at consuming less than 200mg of cholesterol per day, and less than 1gm  saturated fat or 0.5gm of trans fat per serving.                                                           
  3. Protein: Food items like meat, eggs, chicken, soy-beans, peas,seeds and nuts are rich source of proteins. If,your kidney damage than your doctor advise you limit the protein intake.so, pay attention to the protein content of packaged food items.                                                                   
  4. Sodium and Potassium: Sodium and Potassium help the regulate the blood pressure.When you have been suffering from kidney disease, doctor advise you to reduce the potassium intake to prevent cardiac problems.

           Maintaining the optimal health is your responsibility. Read the food items labels and understand what your body requires and what not..Keep all the that type of  information in mind and make an informed decision....😊
